Delights Pop Up in the MKE
I’ve been around the block MANY times now! In fact I’ve spent DECADES circling blocks. Yet when you come at your life with the curiosity and eyes of a wide-open child (or kitten!), life is never boring. Every time around can be a new adventure. In fact life remains green and growing even out of ground that someone sanded over specifically to stop green and growing things from popping up.
To continue to get the very best support for that in my life, I excitedly prepared for my 2nd year of the Master Key Experience course. I wrote how my first time through I knew I’d found what I’d been looking for all my life. So I gathered another stack of index cards, brought out the 3 different PDFs we use to guide us through Week 1, opened the Og Mandino book, watched the introductory video, and prepared to make more notes alongside notes I’d made last year.
The first class session didn’t disappoint! Our presenters were passionate, funny, and encouraging. There were several hundreds of us participating from 5 continents, 40+ states, and a dozen+ countries–some of whom we met in the Q & A session when they shared their thoughts in the “meeting after the meeting.” I felt launched into a wonderful new adventure where delights pop up!
What Will Help Me Stop and Smell the Flowers
|Since it’s up to me if I’m going to get from life all it has to offer, here are some things from Week 1 I do so delights pop up!|
1. Well begun is half done. What works is to incorporate about an hour total of readings and specific actions throughout the day. I start those first thing in the morning and do not miss one. This time I’ve set alarms on my phone and remember to use the MKE app as a reminder checklist.
2. I focus on my purpose in order to live my life with purpose. Guides and the new MasterMind I joined can help, but it’s up to me to refresh my Definite Major Purpose. I intend to make it even more energizing to read first thing in the morning and last thing at night to take advantage of what science knows about night time brain wave changes.
3. I embrace the process and bring honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness to this adventure. The Blueprint Builder we read daily reminds me to move beyond cynicism. So those who sand or cement over parthways of growth cannot derail me–nor will my old blueprint nor old habits that no longer serve me. I will replace the useless with what’s much better so delights pop up.
4. I give ample time to thinking in the “sit.” Mark reminded us that “We ARE to the extent that we DO. We DO what we BELIEVE. We BELIEVE what we THINK. Therefore we ARE what we THINK.”
